Join the volunteers of MCP Rescue + Outreach and hear about our charity's efforts to rescue and house misunderstood dogs in the Chicago area. MCP has saved hundreds of pitbulls and other breeds and mixes since 2016, and it takes resources to keep meeting the need for rescue, and you can help this weekend! MCP is also trying to establish and grow bonds between dogs and urban youth. You'll get to meet a few of their doggos as well!.

From "Nation" to "Planet:" Writing the "Furry Nation" Sequel
Joe Strike is a certified greymuzzle. He’s been part of the Furry community since 1988 when he received a surprise invitation to the very first east coast furry party.

After watching our subculture spread across the world, Joe wrote "Furry Nation," his 2017 account of Furry’s birth, its earliest days and the first generation of furs who made it all happen.

Since then our community has grown ever larger; every day more and more people across the globe realize their furriness and launch their own conventions. With more Furry in the world than ever before, Joe is in the midst of writing "Furry Planet," scheduled for a 2022 release by Apollo Publishers.

Joe will describe the challenge of documenting our dynamic community, reaching people who have brought Furry to their own country, and the hurdles and rewards they faced along the way. "Planet" will also examine aspects of Furry overlooked in "Furry Nation:" furry authors, entrepreneurs and therians, as well as the increasing presence of anthropomorphism in popular and high culture, from superhero films to performance art. (Attendees are welcome to suggest additional topics for "Furry Planet" to explore.)

Collaboration Confuzilcation: A Furry Art Jam!
Can you draw, doodle or scribble? Are you quick-witted? Play well with others? Then join the Collaboration Confuzilcation!

Here's how it works: every player will receive a formatted, 4-panel sheet of paper; a word will be chosen at random and each player will have twelve minutes to draw a picture in the first panel based on that word.

THEN everyone passes their paper to the next person…a new word is selected and that person draws a picture in the next panel based on the new word…that also continues the story started in the previous panel! The challenge: each panel has to continue the previous panel's story - while drawing a picture based on the new word at the same time!

The process is repeated for the third and fourth panels, until the page is filled with a masterpiece of collaborative creativity (and weirdness!)

We’ll supply that formatted drawing paper, but please bring your own pens, pencils and erasers. Participation is limited to the first 36 people to arrive, but everyone is welcome to stay and observe.

Furry Logic LLC returns to Furfest with Cyberpunk Escape, where players seek to uncover an evil megacorp's plans in a dystopian sci fi world, but must act swiftly before they are traced... and erased! Modified from its 2020 adaptation due to COVID-19, this 40-minute game will have players' adrenaline pumping as they race against the clock to solve puzzles and complete the challenges as a team before the timer runs out. Join a crew and be part of the Intergalactic Fursuit Games! Teams of fursuiters will compete in a series of astronomical challenges for bragging rights in the known universe. Spectators welcomed and encouraged - you may even get some free swag for being a part of the crowd!
